its been a while
i'm still here!
i just wanted to check in and say hi to you! thank you for still being subscribed to this newsletter. unless you’re about to skim through it and squint your eyes til you find "‘unsubscribe”. tbh, go for it if you want to! nothing feels better than an ✨inbox cleanse✨
anyway, i’m writing this because i miss my monthly ritual from last year. i miss curating everything i learned in a month and sending it to your inbox. while the macros of life have been great and everything has felt a little bit like a movie, i’ve realised that its the micros that i want to shift focus towards.
does this mean that the newsletter is back? idk
does this mean that i’m going to try to being it back? most definitely :)
there is something very therapeutic about writing these emails and i’m jazzed to get back at it. while i’d love to fill you in on everything i’ve been reading since last year, i’m going to stick to july 2022. without further ado, let’s dive in! :)
📘 what i’m reading:
the spanish love deception, by elena armas: an enemies to lovers office romance between two people who bring out the best in each other 💜
man’s search for meaning, by viktor frankl: the experiences of a prisoner in nazi concentration camps during world war two. this book has been incredibly uplifting for me this month. 🙏
a court of wings and ruin, by sarah j. maas: third book of the ACOTAR series. just started reading this! 🤌🏼
🎧 what im listening to:
the epic of gilgamesh: i’ve been having trouble sleeping and the story of Gilgamesh and his brother reminds me of how i used to love mythology, and listening to these stories puts me in a very relaxed state. highly recommend it to anyone looking to dive into a world of fiction :) 💃🏽
the proof podcast: this podcast, hosted by kevin rose, covers all things NFTs and dives deep into concepts/current events in the space 👇
🎶 july playlist:tell me that its summer without telling me that its summer
💭 a quote that i’m thinking about:
“everything we go through in life is a test to either hit the next level or stay in the same spot.”
📸 camera roll dump:

🌱 cool stuff from random places:
todoist: i’ve always struggled with prioritizing tasks and this app has helped me get it right in a lot of ways :)
i wish i was better at telling stories:
overcoming information overload: your brain is for having ideas, not for holding them!
taylor swift’s valadectorian speech:
i never read this book because it was way too boring, but this twitter thread does a great job at summarising it:
my favourite line: Your inability to reconstruct past beliefs will inevitably cause you to underestimate the extent to which you were surprised by past events.
this was really short, but it’s a smol effort to get back into the groove of writing publicly. thank you for reading this and for being subscribed to the newsletter! i appreciate all 765 of you so much 🙏 feel free to reply to this email with any thoughts that you’d like to share - i love hearing from you :) i hope that august will be a great month for us all, and i can’t wait to write to you again 🤍
with gratitude,kashvi 🦉
